Island finish:
Ebony
Perimeter wood:
Cherry
Island wood:
Oak

This eclectic motif stems from the mix of two finishes. The perimeter of the kitchen is natural cherry while the island done in black oak; the contrast causes the island to stand alone like a large piece of furniture. The use of brick and tile in the corner of the kitchen makes the range and the archway that it sits in stand out as the focal point of the room. The room repeats the arch in the doorway again above the range, while another doorway repeats the straight lines of the tall cabinets surrounding it. The wall cabinets on either side of the brick arch consist of mullion and glass for displaying decorative items.
